This is a song dedicated to the great champion of bear (and wrist) awareness, Stephen Colbert. The verses are by A A Milne.

Here's my own wrist injury (post-op): http://www.flickr.com/photos/pudge/1440769501/

The original MP3 of this song is available: http://pudge.net/tunes/tracks/Lines%20and%20Squares.mp3

(And no, I am not lip synching. I recorded the guitar and vocal into Logic while I recorded the video with QT Player, then mixed the audio and exported it out and brought it into iMovie. The spoken parts are the built-in laptop mic, and then I mixed the song, with the good mic recordings, in over that.)

This is the Longest Concert Evar, starring Pudge. Send requests to concertrequest@pudge.net, or post them here.

  • Hi Pudge -- I really enjoyed your rendition of Lines and Squares. I remember this song from childhood and although I can't find the LP that I remember now I can entertain myself by playing it on the guitar.

PS. Super nice sound mixing. Those mics kick ass, are they AKGs??

  • Thanks, glad you like it.

This was my original music put to the words by A A Milne. Any comparison to an existing melody is coincidental.

    Not AKG, Studio Projects.

  • haha Colbert is an independent remember?

  • Well, he sure isn't a Democrat after they rejected his bid.

Psych. Maybe this will clarify for you. For someone who can recognize Colbert's sarcasm, I'm surprised you can't recognize his.

  • so your saying that you KNOW hes not a conservative republican whos not our president???

  • Um.

    I was engaging in satire.

    You didn't get it.

Not sure what other explanation you need.

  • explain what you mean by that please.

  • PsychiatrizeMe, for someone who watches Colbert, you sure don't get satire!
