I sadly read some of the negative comments below. What is the matter with you people? Joel Osteen is not a cult leader nor is he a fanatic. He does not speak against other religions and/or beliefs. All he is doing is trying to encourage and guide people to believe in themselves and find success in all aspects of there lives. I am Jewish, I listen to his videos a few times a week and find him to be very inspirational, an exceptional speaker!

I'm afraid that Mr Osteen is a heretic who is not worthy of the title 'Pastor'.

The message of the Bible is not that human beings are "extraordinary", but rather that they are depraved from the moment of their conception- Psalm 51:5, Isaiah 64:6, Ephesians 2:5, Romans 3:23 among others.

The only hope of salvation sinful human beings have is in the Lord Jesus Christ who took the punishment of all those who trust in Him as their Savior and Lord.

No trust in Christ/repent..= eternal punishment.

I am Christian, and I see no problem in his sermons. Sure, he is a positive thinker more than a preacher. For sheer word, I listen to other preachers, but mix in a little Joel......I believe GOD has given Joel a special ministry, just different. He is not Billy Graham. But that is Osteen's point most of the time, we are ALL special, unique, PRECIOUS to GOD....
