Stories are developed in layers. The foundational layer is structure and the process that creates it is called Storyforming. The next state is Encoding in which the raw structure (dramatic meaning) is symbolized through charcter growth, plot progression and thematic considerations. The third stage of storytelling is Storyweaving in which an author determines how to unfold their conceptualized story for the audience by revealing aspects of it, bit at a time. The final stage is Reception in which an author adjusts the actual writing of the story according to its intended readers or audience.
