I have found out that my battery has so called become "swollen" there for becoming pressed against the backside of my trackpad. Do you have any ideas on what I can do at this point?

now that you have removed that top case can you replace the trackpad that way?

@Sugarmagnolia330 - On this model, the trackpad is replaced with the top case, not separately.

i would definitely add that the track pad/power button ribbon is attached in a VERY SPECIFIC place on the logic board, which is not show here and may cause confusion when putting the computer back together. It actually clicks into it's receptacle on the logic board.

Is that track pad ribbon removable from the top case itself as well?
