BABSON PARK, Mass.—The No. 20 Babson College men's soccer team struck for two second half goals, 92 seconds apart, en route to a 2-1 victory over Plymouth State University this afternoon at Hartwell-Rogers Field. Junior Eric Anderson (Scituate, Mass.) and senior Max Walker (Newton, Mass.) tallied goals for the Beavers (13-2-2), while senior goalkeeper Peter Crowley (Lexington, Mass.) made three saves to pass Steve Webber '92 for the most wins in program history, earning the 56th of his career. Babson is now unbeaten in its last 15 games and has posted four consecutive victories.

A defensive-minded Plymouth State (4-11-0) outfit frustrated the Babson attack for much of the afternoon, and despite being outshot 15-4 in the first half, the Panthers led 1-0 at the break on the strength of Jake Sjoberg's (Linkoping, Sweden) team-leading fifth goal of the season at 22:10. Dre Cabral (Tokyo, Japan) regained possession of the ball along the endline following a long run and fed Sjoberg, who settled the ball, and drilled a hard, low shot inside the right post from 15 yards out to give the Panthers the early lead.

Junior goalkeeper Bjorn Ohlsson (Haimstad NA, Sweden) was terrific for Plymouth State in the first half making six saves. Ohlsson made a kick save to deny Anderson from point blank range in the 15th minute, and punched blasts by Ayo Iwuagwu (Lagos, Nigeria) and Walker out of danger as well. Nine minutes before halftime, first-year Brendan Matthews (Marlborough, Mass.) hit a diving header that caromed off the left post and was cleared away.

The Beavers relentless pressure would finally pay off midway through the second half when Anderson scored the equalizer at 67:05 and Walker put Babson ahead for good at 68:47. Anderson put away his team-leading 10th goal of the season, a header inside the right post, from Nickerson and Matthews, and Walker took a through-ball from Thomas Elbling (Porta Alegre, Brazil) that beat the Plymouth State offsides trap, and buried a low shot inside the right post for the game-winner. From there the Babson defense would make the lead stand up, helping Crowley earn his record-breaking victory.
