@dmacid turbo machine? lol wtf? fan? I don't believe its ever has a lift fan nor an engine failure ever.
How many aircraft can fire a missile at a fighter behind them... just one .... only the f-35.
Do you think $1trillion for 2400 aircraft over 50 years is a lot of money? That's only comes to 2% of our defence budget over 50 years and 0.0063% of our GDP over that period.
F-35 is going to dominate the world :)

@yurikomuro Got that 1 slightly wrong. It was shut down over Serbia in 1999 during NATO bombing of Yugoslavia. I personally saw it go down in flames.

@FXWorldBeater F35 is useless in a visual range air combat. Too slow, cant flank quickly enough and too heavy. There have also been a multitude of electronic and mechanical failures on the plane (ex: turbo machine, in flight generators, fan, etc). And speaking of cost, how many jet fighter programs out there are expected to cost over 1 trillion USD? Piece of garbage.

The nighthawk was not very stealthy, during the Bosnian war, an old russian made SAM-2 was able to detect and lock on to the "stealth" plane using very low frequency radar waves and it was successfully shot down by Bosnian forces.
