11/05/2011: Child caught between Occupy DC protesters

It's unclear what's happening — whether the police are stepping in to get the child or whether it's being used as a human shield. Either way, this adds an odd wrinkle to the protests outside of the Americans for Prosperity event at the Washington Convention Center on Friday.

This is one reason why I can't stand the extreme right-wing or left-wing and have chosen to be an Independent Moderate. Neither side is rational and must resort to using children (there were plenty at the Tea Party protests too) to gain sympathy.

@JMcH Personally, I disagree. While I don't condone bringing children any place where there is potential for conflict, I also don't believe this woman intentionally used her kids as "human shields." I'm sorry if my opinion does not suit your agenda, but we will just have to agree to disagree. Thanks for your input.

The police should have put those kids in child protective custody. The parents are not fit.

where are the video's of the 2 guys shot and killed during violence in this camps? One guy shot and killed in Oakland and no video's of him being killed by other occupy wacko's. Where is the vidoes of the rapes, assualts, dope dealing, over dose deaths, violence etc etc that is occuring at all these " peaceful sites"? but at least, these officers are black and not Caucasian, i can't imagine the charges of racism that would be leveled

No, this child was not "caught between", this child was intentionally put there by someone who cared more for their own cause than the child. This is an act of terrorism.
