USC vs. LSU 1979. The greatest myth is LSU football is just that. For 30 years, this alleged "phantom face mask" play has been incessantly talked and written about by LSU fans. Many claim the facemask just never happened and blame the loss to USC on this call. Unfortunately, it sometimes overshadows perhaps the greatest game ever played at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers gave the Trojans all they asked for and more.

USC lost the 2005 BS NCG in part by a facemask. You don't see their fans using that as an excuse or claiming it never occurred. Please see the RealTime video also posted.

I'm not "steaming" about anything. USC got away with a no-call by Pac-Ten refs. Hey....it happens all the time in OOC games. Just ask Oklahoma about their game against Oregon in 2006 with Pac-Ten refs. I'm just reminding you that we beat USC a lot worse in 1984 than they beat us in 1979. Plus....LSU would kick the cr@& out of USC this year if they played.
