As requested the final battle of Iron Eagle 2. This is part 2 of 2.
And yeap, i know those are F-4s not MIG-29s, and that those are KFir and not MIG-23s.. and that Cooper launches the same missile many times :D..
But you can mock it anyway.
Oh.. i edited out the ground battle scenes.. and yeap, you are free the scream "Star Wars" in that final "trench run"

North Korea has nukes, but they are big and cumbersome and so far they cant adapt them to ICBMs so they are for now field weapons (short range or bombers).. and thats from a country that has had nukes for several years, Iran doesnt even have one yet , so its still far away from having missiles capable of reaching your beloved ones

I can't believe I never made the connection between this and the "trench run" from Star Wars! Now that I notice, I can't believe I missed it.

As result of that I've said. The combat results must have been as follows:

USA-Kills: 3 Kfirs (the 3 by F-16s) and the Enemies-Kills: 1 C-130, 1 F-4 and 1 F-16 (the 3 by the Kfirs) At the end, the Kfirs and the americans retreat as result of DRAW. I'm saying this because the movie's dogfight scenes. But in longe range combat, the american-russian force win the battle using Amraams (F-16D) and Sparrows (F-4Es) against the Kfirs. At long range the combat is for the allies. At near distance don't.

I think the combats are very bad by these reasons:

1- One F-4 in the range of the Kfir is near to die. The Kfir is dogfighter (I mean Python omnidirectional missiles) and the F-4E is more specialized in long range kills.

2. The Kfir at long distance from the F-4 is near to die.

3. Yes, as in the movie, in climbing the F-16 is more than the Kfir, but in turning the Kfir is more. Also in maneuverability.

4. The combat between Kfirs and F-16s must have been a draw. Both planes are very same.

@XXformula The flying scenes in Top Gun were done by real students (flying the f-14s) and real instructors (flying the F-5Es (MiG-28s)). Also it was made with the navy helping. This movie is also not realistic at all in terms of air combat and what goes on.
