Ever wonder why female bodybuilders look like men? It's the steroids. Look here to see what happens when female beauty is destroyed by drugs.

Woman who take steroids (whether by injection, pill or "dietary supplement") are usually bodybuilders, however some woman athletes have been known to use them. The steroids are converted by the liver into testosterone. The results depend upon the dose, but in cases of abuse the following effects are seen:

*Shrinking of breast tissue
*Deeper voice
*Growth of the nose, chin, hands and feet
*Increased body hair, including a mustache and beard
*Formation of an "Adam's Apple" (enlarged thyroid cartilage)
*Loss of hair on the head mimicking male pattern baldness
*And other problems
In other words, it converts their physical appearance from female into male. Steroids are addictive, and while it's true it can increase aggressive behaviors it also releases endorphins giving them a feeling of euphoria, increased power and self-esteem.

Why do some of these female bodybuilders still have large breasts? In most cases it's due to breast implants, although some who had very large breasts prior to steroid use will maintain a larger size.

Don't do drugs. Love the body God gave you.

@nosuchthing8 No, they are not photoshopped. Most of them come from bodybuilding websites, and some from books that you can find at the library. There are however two images that were included by mistake that are "photoshopped" albeit poorly (and not by me). The times of the two are listed in a previous comment.

@78phaser Nope, not so. Other than for 2 altered pics that were added accidentally all of the others are 100% real and gathered from bodybuilding websites. You could find them yourself if you went to google images. Unfortunately this is what happens to a female body when steroids alter the hormonal balance. More testosterone means larger adam's apple, facial hair, cessation of menses, longer nose and so forth.

Some men like makeup, some men like fat girls, some men like muscle. (And yes, women like these things on women too.) So, if they "enhance" within a safe limit, what's the problem? Lots of your slides look like mugshots and a few are aesthetically well done. to be continued.

@valkyrieheat To each his own, but your comments refer to two completely different extremes, one who starves herself to be ultra skinny, the other who abuses steroids to the point of looking manly. These pictures are of the latter. The two pics at the beginning are of women who are normal weight, feminine and healthy.
