I saw the model S on the freeway here on the 405 in Long Beach, Ca. and at first I thought what the heck is it? the lines where perfect and the shape was new, I wish I had the money for one. Tesla keep growing!

Current plants do have flaws inherent to fission, like cooling.

You're talking about aging plants who had design issues and lack of fast response to cool the cores. New plants learn from it.

We need to keep investing in this technology to eventually sustain fusion reactions. Then we will have solve energy problems.

Nuclear power is by far the most efficient and ecological, all your 'clean' energy sources fill little energy and use lots of raw materials and ENERGY to build them every 20 years.

No im not sarcastic. You think its safe? Why dont you go to live in Chernobyl or in Fukushima and see how "ego friendly place it is". You think that if they built those powerplants they thought "fuck that im not build that properly"

Those were accidents. And accidents will happen sooner or later again and again.

so it is the social pressure. you would only have to put up with if for a few years. you know, until the volt, leaf, and Prius are no longer the stereotype.

Maybe there's a misunderstanding here - I agree with you. Elon choosed the "let's start with big guns first" way, wich has its pro and cons. It's effective surely, since people tend to turn the head for big guns instead for small things. Ofcourse If I had the money and had to choose between a luxury Cayenne or a Model X, I'll surely go for the X. But here, who usually goes for a Cayenne usually laughs at a model X - just because it's electric... and for the rest, can't agree more with you.

what i am saying is that is on par for luxury sedans and crossovers.

what you want is a cheap electric subcompact, none of which exist as described. but you never know, tesla might try that next.

...is that why everyone here is drivin' around in his/her Porsche Panamera or Cayenne? This is the home of subcompacts, you know... but even a Nissan Leaf is way beyond the middle man's pockets...
