exactly. Hossa also makes everybody around him a better player and his linemates produce more. that's what great players do. Hoss the Boss is easily one of the strongest players in the league and he's so hard to knock off the puck and defend against because of his speed as well. i think Ovie is another strong player, but hes always been too full of himself and was never a team player. if Ovie doesn't play well, the Caps don't win.. look at them this season, 14th in the EC

I root for Colorado and Boston primarily but I love Hossa. As you said, easily one of the best players in the league. He's also a really tough player unlike a lot of guys who get the soft European player stereotypes. There are certain guys who are Europeans but are the team player kind of guys...I'd say Datsyuk in Detroit and Hossa in Chi are two of them.

hes easily one of the best players in the NHL. he is so strong with the puck and just the way he quarterbacks our PP is amazing. hes fast, skilled, and makes smart heads up plays.

Guilty as charged (I'm Hawks fan). I'd say the same thing if it was a non-Blackhawks game too though. Hansen's hit was a cheap shot and not a "hockey play" He makes no attempt to go for puck over Hossa, he just "jacked" him in the back of the head.

i'll admit it wasn't a clean play, but jesus you must be joking!! ten games+???

i assume your a hawks fan... Keith got five for his terrible headshot on D. Sedin at the end of last season, I thought that was pretty accurate. The intent to injure, and premeditated nature of that play was FAR more obvious than in this case of incidental contact.

Hansen is a clean player? Seriously? There was no reason to jack Hossa like that. Suspend him at least 5 games. Maybe if the league really wanted to clean this up - it would send a message and make it 10+
