Love this tune, just beautiful. But Texas ... I spent the longest decade of my life in the one year I was stationed in Baja Oklahoma.

@enjoythevoyage couldn't have said it better myself....brings back wonderful memories of swinging on my grandparents porch swing mannnyyyy years ago....Here in Texas, porch swings are what makes a house a home...proud to be a GRIT..girl raised in the south! :D

I am living in Ohio now with my wife but my heart remains in the South. My home is the Hill Country, San Antonio and Austin. My relatives live in Waco. I love those places so much and this song makes me homesick, but in a good way. I'll be home again in a few years. And all these places will be waiting for me. I'm glad Lyle made this song and I wonder if he really understands how he truly touches people with his music. Thank you Lyle.

LL and Robert Earl Keen co-wrote this wonderful song. They were winners at the Kerrville New Folk Contest w/it. I will always remember the first time I heard it on a hot afternoon in May at the outdoor concert theatre there,.
