  • 24:03- "'THE BURNS & ALLEN SHOW' is a film presentation. This is Harry Von Zell saying good night for Carnation Evaporated Milk...".

  • Originally, at 23:36, Harry Von Zell walked out in front of the curtain, and said, "Carnation will bring back George & Gracie in just a moment. Next week, George & Gracie will be brought to you by B.F. Goodrich..." {insert filmed Goodrich commercial here} "And now, here are Carnation's 'contented couple'- George & Gracie..." {George & Gracie walk onto stage, deliver a funny closing remark, say goodnight, and walk off}

    "George & Gracie were brought to you tonight by Carnation Evaporated Milk..."

  • This is the syndicated version of the first filmed episode (the 1957-'58 opening title is used). After two years of live shows, George decided to do what Lucy & Desi were doing on "I LOVE LUCY"- film the show, as well as own it [his business manager told him to form his own company- "McCadden Productions"- and start making money as an independent producer]. Note the vestiges of the live episodes {"stage" and George standing at the "proscenium arch"} are there, but there wasn't a live audience...
