Took a little break from sunning myself to do the last step! Putting the cooked ham into the beans! Yum! This is the best soup! You have GOT to make this!

Kellis Sexy 15 Bean Soup

20 oz (1lb 4 oz) Hursts HamBeens Brand 15 Bean Mix
2 Q Chicken Broth
2 Ham Hocks (smoked)
2 lb Ham (cooked) (cubed)
2 White Onions (chopped)
1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
1-3 T Chili Powder
1T Garlic Powder
1 Head Garlic (about 9 cloves)
1-3 T Salt (to taste)
1 t Pepper
2 T Paprika
1 Lemon (juiced)
Cooked Rice

Soak Beans overnight in filtered water. Drain. Place in Dutch Oven or other 7-8 qt pot. Add all the ingredients above, except for the cooked ham. Bring to a boil and set to simmer. Beans may take up to 1 ½ hours to cook. When beans are done, add the cubed ham. Bring to a boil and then remove from heat. Serve over cooked rice. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

  • sooo i wonder wut u made for desert im bettin it was real sweet ;P

  • @bigleroygym Cook some potatoes into your soup. Potatoes will take down the salty flavor.

Next time, put less salt and taste it before you add more. Some ham is saltier than others so let the ham cook in before you add any salt.

  • God bless her......

  • Gonna have to check out some more of your great cooking!
