Hundreds gathered at Merrill/Travis Hall on the southern edge of the Ferris State University campus to take part in the Office of Multicultural Student Services' Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom March. Marchers left Merrill/Travis and headed north on State Street, with a police escort, singing many of the famous songs of freedom made famous during the Civil Rights Movement. Marchers continued up State Street, turned back onto campus, pass FLITE, through the Quad and into the Rankin Student Center where they gathered to hear more inspirational words from several Ferris State University dignitaries, including President David Eisler.
