In the pap game it is very un-cool to ask other photogs if there is any celebs around. Do your own job. Picking other guys brains can be done, but you've got to do it indirectly.

this guy is the biggest asshole I ever met. I have had trouble with him at every event he ever attended. He is even the first guy I ever arrested as a cop! What a fool! His name ought to be Mr Lawsuit. Even other press people say he is a terrible photographer who gets lucky once in a while

I've been a working photographer in NYC for about 20 years.
Steve Sands is notorious in being the biggest jerk in the business.
I wont get into details but he once pissed me off so much that I was a thread away from taking a swing at him.
This coming from a guy who has a photo of Gandhi on his wall..He found out that I was shooting for the Associated Press and he immediately apologized because he occasionally sells photos to the AP.
I never felt such disgust for a photog before or since.
