  • for the people that don't know he builds these him self.

  • @jettenjetta - Not exactly true. That statement implies that he's pouring molten bronze & welding frames. There are three mobile carillons in North America, and while all three perform Cast in Bronze, Frank DellaPenna only had the most recent one built. It had 25 old bells that were cast by Petit and Fritsen, & Frank commissioned the Royal Eijsbouts Bell Foundry of the Netherlands to cast the other ten. Ewald

Stellrecht of ESE Machines made the frame & keyboard.

  • Dude loves bells.

  • I am a music teacher in NY. I came across this site looking for christmas carillons to ring in my Christmas. I love how you integrated the past with the present and will show this to my students as "Unusual percussion instruments" LOVED IT! I can't imagine the help you have to keep with you to put it together before playing!

  • I love living history and this is a true example of it! This is why I go to the ren faires.

  • @TXMortgageBanker huzzah!

  • @dumbass86 i understand the need for mead! huzzah! and i agree with you about the chills. one must see cast in bronze live to experience this feeling.

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • how does he breathe and keep from over-heating in all the black cloths and mask? love the music btw.. seen his performance in Texas at Scarborough Fair a few years back... unforgettable performance that sent chills threw out my entire body.. truly incredible... but missed my chance to shake his hand... friends rushing me off for some mead =)

  • the music kinda covers up the bells

  • Seeing this in person is the only way to go. I have ALL of Frank's CDs & Christmas Doesn't really start until I hear Carol of the Bells played by Cast in Bronze Live & in person! Wen't to TRF during Celtic Christmas Weekend & heard 3 1/2 performances. The last performance was at night & not only is the crowd different but the veil of night adds a whole other dimension to the music. I spoke to the "spirit" & he says Carol of the Bells is the most physically Demanding piece that he plays

  • I love you Frank!!! Awesome artist!!!
