@mandowave Hi, David.
In Brazil we invented this instrument back in 1940's and we have a large history behind it. It was invented as "Pau-Elétrico" (Electric Stick) by DODÔ and OSMAR in Bahia during second world war, and in the late 70's began to be called GUITARRA BAIANA.
We have many skilled players of this instrument here in Brazil, the most known is Armando Macedo, Osmar's son.

Guitarra Baiana limpa direto no amp, com um pouco de reverb. O captador é um EMG SA (o do braço). Valeu pelo comentário!
