PROS
====
+ nice large sharp screen. perfect for showing off your photos

+ built in software to edit photos on the go

+ built in 4GB memory. can shoot photos without the memory stick

+ can zoom in and out while recording video!

+ 4x optical zoom

CONS
====

- expensive. it is not worth $400!! i think the Sony T77 is a much better value

- thicker than i expected. i still like the older yet thinner Sony T7

- built in stabilizer and high 3200 ISO dont mean anything in low light. a digital SLR is still much better than this camera

- 10Megapixel doesnt mean anything. photos look the same as my old Sony T7's 5 megapixel.

- touchscreen is not finger friendly and NOT multitouch. a mini flat stylus is included.

- video recording is not HD unlike the sony T500.

Summary: not worth the $400! this camera is truly a disappointment!

by the way, i recorded the video with the PS3. voice was muffled because i was behind the mic.

UPDATE 11-15-2008: Dell occaisionally have 15% and another 5% you can use together. price would be down to $270. check techbargains.com for the coupon codes.

  • have you figured out how to change the shutter speed yet?

  • no. i returned the camera. not worth the amount i paid for. amazon was nice to deal with returns

  • How long does this camera let you video for??

    Is it easy to transfer items from the camera to the computer?

    Does it come with an editting program for the computer?

    Thanks for the video, by the way. Please reply! I have been looking into this camera since before it came out. Deciding which I like better- the t77 or t700, I hope they go on sale on for xmas, or on black friday!

  • record vid till the mem runs out of space. it is easy to transfer photos with the supplied usb cord. windows vista recognized the cam as a usb drive. u dont have to install the sony software. the software to edit photos is very basic.

    i just returned the T700. it has features i dont use. the only difference between T700 and T77 is the 4gb built in and sharper, larger screen. im actually ordering the T77 from amazon now for $270 with a free 1gb mem card!

  • how much does it cost?

  • ya sure there is.. i think in some countries there are but if u search on google you'll fine it...

  • T7... lol.. wonder why they chose those names... T77.. T700.. but anyways... a 5mp cam might look the same as a 10mp cam... but is your T7 a touch screen? i dun think soooo... im guessing the only reason she bought this cam is cuz it a touch screen... plus speaking of megapixels.. a 10 megapixel cam has a better specs than a 5 mp darling...

  • the camera works fine in broad daylight. have you use this camera in low light? like indoor and at night? let us know! for the price during this review, the camera was not worth it.

  • image quality depends on the lense and image sensor. the megapixel count is just hype. this camera is still nothing compared to the cheapest 8 megapixel Canon DSLR on the market. i strongly suggest you read more before "criticizing"

  • i just got one and its black... o and its so amazin!!! this guy has no idea wat hes tlkin bout my camera is rediculouslky amazin and i luv it so much!

  • There is no black t700 its a scratched gray metallic
