American Culture Eulogy. Hope for non destruction. Globalization as an economic model has a root base for cheap energy. We are at the peak in oil production. Agriculture is unsustainable. Our population catches up with our food production. We are overpopulated. Everything else is crowded out. Petrol is embedded in our food supply. Cities rely on imports because its population exceeds its production. Your average supermarket food has traveled about 3,000 miles to arrive there. An end to cheap energy will end it in a heart beat. Carbon is being absorbed into the oceans, making it harder for plankton to grow. Plankton are the bottom of the food chain and produce half of the air we breathe.
