This video shows the Neo Percussion Ensemble playing Mozart's Turkish Rondo (Rondo Alla Turca) on the streets of Scandinavia in 2004. From left to right, the musicians are Anton, Daniel, Timur, and Alexander from St. Petersburgh, Russia.

I think the instruments are vibraphone, xylphone and marimba, but I am not sure.

Please forgive my wobbly camera work; I am really sorry.

  • That was sooo adorable!!! I didnt think the Xylophone could sound so nice :)

  • Yeah, i had never even seen classical music played live on xylophone before I met these guys. And they know Rondo is my favorite piece, so they always play this for me when they see me!

  • great stuff. Check out my little kids playing this on the site showcaseyourmusic artist name....the marimba belles... there are two versions I think. The kids I teach are usually in grade five and six. The middle 16 bars of Rondo are difficult and non stop. Congrats. Graham.

  • actually you suck at everything ever.

  • Amazing! These guys must've been playing together for a long time considering how well they can play with one another

  • cool!!..I saw these guys in Cambridge last week...was about to film them and they stopped : -(

  • This is what dreams are made out of!

  • Same here. I've learned it on piano, but now I need to play it on xylophone for school. I've gotten pretty good at it (self-taught the last few years in school), but I don't know if I can actually play this.

  • I love this!!

The vibes sounded a little bit to loud at 1:44 (at least in my opinion, but they maybe meant it to happen)

But this is SO cute! I wish we would play this in our band class:(

  • xylophone guy = awesome

  • O yeah!!!!!!

  • nice playing you should play the unsquare dance by dave brubeck, you could chuck in some visuals for that piece :-) the passers by would love it...
