PS, I would hate it if web cam was introduced to online education. I like teaching in my pyjamas or whatever and unshaven, etc and I'm sure students feel the same. Imagine if we all had to pretty up for the camera to have a class? No way!!! :)

You could look at the camera, not exactly the tip of a technologist, but it's a little distracting when you look off to the side of the screen for the whole vid. Black Board is an okay program, but I am not sure it's all that great. I don't recall being very excited by it. What I do agree with you about is that both teachers and students need to be properly oriented to use the software. You're right about the lack of discipline/time management but that's all students, IMO!
