@voiceabove - you can see how here. youtube.com/watch?v=nDtVrm7Ibl
A basically he flexes his bow arm elbow as he does the little overdraw thing. it freaks me out watching it, but it obviously works for him. -
Wow! That must be extremely exhausting. Most of italians have bow with draw over 50 lbs, so Michele has to be extremely strong.

How does he make sure he doesn't draw past the clicker? Weird man...

Use whatever style works best for you. There are many, most don't have names even, or are refered to the coach's name.... And, apon slose examination, there is no one "Korean Style" or, the "Best Method". There are systems, but they should be modified by a instructor to fit *your body*. It's better to use an instructiors style than try to learn it yourself. And the Biomechanics can be a bad thing (The Archery talk form / Fita- Best Method Injuries), mess it up, and you'll really get hurt!

it looks so hard to get it constant...i better used korean style of shooting...more biomechanics, more consistence, easier to master

It's a very acquired taste, but what they do is anchor their thumb onto the back of the neck then move their face to meet the string.
My first coach told me: "You can use the pocket of your jeans as an anchor point as long as you hit a ten!". That is an exaggeration offcourse, but that means that you need to do whatever works best for YOU!!! :-)) He's a world champ, so that works for him for sure!!!!

I won't disagree with that logic Alex although I am a firm believer in some types of anchor being easier to replicate than others. Michele is pretty good at what he does and is interesting to watch.

@Allvynthat's true, simpler your anchor is, easier it is to do it consistently over and over again. Take Ruban, how many people are shooting the way he does? Not many right, but he won the Olympics. When I've started archery I've tried MAAANY different ways of shooting, but I've found what works best for me. So it's never a bad thing to try new stuff I think...but only in the beginning before your form is deep into your muscle memory...And yes,Michele is very interesting to watch!

I just studied your videos and all I can see is EXCELLENT FORM. I won't know what it takes to get that little extra to win at world level but I guess that it would be along the likes of aiming like a compound archer while having a good strong release and very consistent shot timing with a good mental game to go with all that. Wish I could shoot like you!

Its a very different technique to what most of us are accustomed to I agree but he has shot some pretty good scores with it.
