  • Hi Tom, yes I have heard of 6 thinking hats and think it's a great technique to use particularly when you are evaluating ideas or solutions to problems. I often use it along with brainstorming.

When you are facilitating using this technique its important to explain how it works and that the group only thinks and answers using the hat color in question. Eg. if yellow hatting you only want positive and constructive ideas and thoughts. You may need to remind the group of the color from time to time

  • Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments. Facilitating is hard work but although it's not about you it's still important to remember to make sure enjoy yourself.

  • Hello there. Do you mind me asking; have you heard of Edward De Bono's 6 hat thinking? If so what do you think of this technique and could this work in a meeting when you are the facilitator?

    Thank you

    Tom

  • Thanks for the video - I have used it as a resource for the course "Facilitating Online".

    cheers Sarah
