Relatively Rare 5 Bonus Symbol hit for "Mega Jackpot" on WMS Rose of Cairo

It's not easy to get 5 bonus symbols for the Mega Jackpot on these slot machine games from WMS, but yes, it does happen! I had only been at the casino for about 10 minutes and started playing one of my favorite slot machines, a WMS transmissive called Rose of Cairo. This is the first time I've recorded a Mega Jackpot Bonus Win. I was betting $1, and I hit the 5 scattered Bonus symbols, which earned me the Mega Jackpot ($400) plus 20 free spins with two wild reels on each spin.

The bonus win total of $510 pales in comparison to the $2129 I won on this machine back in August 2010, but at that time I was betting the max of $4. Interestingly, my win amount this go-round was almost exactly 1/4 of what it was in August (in close proportion to the bet amount).

[Sorry for the shaky camera action in the middle -- I'll blame it on adrenaline, as it was a very exciting hit! I tried at one point to balance my phone on my knees to keep my hands steady; that's why the angle changes for a few seconds. It's a little "Blair Witch," I know.]

@callum6549 Oh wow, I've played them so much and for so long that I could probably never come up with an accurate number, but I can confidently say I've won thousands of dollars on these machines in the past 4 years. I've also lost thousands, but fortunately I've won far more than I've lost. My biggest single win was $2129 on Rose of Cairo in August of 2010. I have pictures of that but no video.

I've noticed with a lot of these machines you're almost always better off hitting the minimum symbols needed for the bonus to start then getting it to retrigger a few times during the bonus. I've hit 5 bonus symbols numerous times the only ones were it matters is when it really changes the bonus such as 100 spins, more wilds or something like that.

@ShaniaKoukla Players can change the denomination on the machines at River Rock Casino to 2 or 5 cents, but I usually play them at the regular (default) 1-cent denomination. I've never seen anyone get a screen full of Zeus symbols. I got four full reels of Zeus symbols once, but I only have a picture of it, not a video. A buddy of mine on YouTube recently hit a combination in a free spin bonus with a screen that was only missing two Zeus symbols. I'll send you a link by email.

@higgiesf Thanks so much for posting these videos, I love watching them. The casinos here are much different, they watch your every move. The casino that I frequent has a row of the 1cent style of these and a row of 5 cent. The 1 cent machines are always taken so I prefer being at the 5 cent side as they are more quiet. I have won 3 major jackpots on Zeus. The one I told you about and 2 that were from consecutive high hits and 4 bonus triggers. Have you ever seen anyone get all of the Zeus'?
