The original AR prototype, as build by Eugene Stoner (because his wife complained that most sporting rifles are too heavy) still had a wooden stock.

Gimme one with a wooden stock.

The nice thing about ARs are you can easily customize them. I'm sure there are wooden stocks out there, or one could easily be manufactured for one if you have wood working skills.

Yeah, I know.. But I meant the full wooden stock rifle (with the same AR gas operation mechanism) stoner built first.

I have drawings of it right here, too bad I dont have a scanner.
