Dark Souls Best Soul Farming Method (10k in less than a minute)

Found by Brandon505 aka Oroboro. Be sure to subscribe for more Dark Souls videos.
This method can only be used once you've killed Gwynevere. It requires the item 'Homeward Bone' that can be purchased at the Undead Merchant in the sewers near Firelink Shrine for only 800 souls each. It is more difficult than the forest exploit but much much faster if you can pull it off.

Easier than both ways, go to painted world, main room with about 8 enemies together then use any any magic/pyromancy/miracle (specially wrath of the gods) and kill them all together, you will get about 8000 souls, then go back to the bonfire. You can do that in 25 seconds...

@Shizuka12301 yeah that method is probably the fastest if you have an AOE spell of some sort.

There's a way easier method. Get the bonfire in the darkroot garden, then use the Crest of Artorias to open the big door. Run through the forest, making sure everyone is following you, then get back the door, but stay in the forest. There's a ledge to the right of the door, stand on the absolute edge of it, and wait. Everyone will jump from above you and plummet. This can be done after the undead parish, get you 9000-10000 in less than a minute, and doesn't require any thought at all.

My method is better

with silver serpent ring and mimic head its 12k souls in 30 seconds 20K in NG+

@DragonSemi you can play offline and beat it with no problems, and in case you need lots of easy xp watch dark souls best farming 20, 751souls every 30 ~ 40 seconds vid

this might not be thr ight video to ask this question, but I need to know, regarding online-play in this game. Is it REQUIRED to be able to play online in order to beat this game, or will I be able to beat it in offline mode?

You get 7K each run after the first time because not all of the ghosts respawn. Plus, sometimes the AI doesn't want to follow you all the way to the edge and they backtrack into the forest. For the first playthrough, the Painted World is definitely the easiest and quickest, just bring Firestorm or Fire Tempest with you. Once you get to NG+ I prefer farming (if you even need to anymore) in Darkroot Garden since you get more total souls.

Painted world is better for farming the first playthrough, but once you get to NG+, you get more souls in Darkroot Garden...I think it was like 6K more souls per run.
