This is great and all, but the lyrics should be popping up about a second or so earlier. You should be able to start reading them just before they are sung as the brain needs time to react.. for those who are practicing for karaoke, like my father, who most definitely needs help...

@screwdigitaldish about 1982 if not 83. 79 is a little early. There was still Donna Summer and some Foreigner to come out. This synth and guitar sound really kicked in about 1981.

@screwdigitaldish Thanks, yeah, I think you're right about the early 80's. I heard this cruisin' down the highway in S. Dakota, and ended up singin' my heart out at 100 mph last month! It was great.
