The latest edition of Save Our Rivers' POWERPLAY series exposing the attempt to take BC's rivers for private power. In this episode public outcry explodes over private power in BC as citizens rise up to protect our rivers and public power system. We visit the heated meeting in Pitt Meadows that had to be shut down by the fire marshall and police. And another emotionally-charged affair in downtown Vancouver as hundreds marched to SFU's Wosk Centre for Dialogue--where private power promoters were meeting inside--to send a message that BC is a public power province.
The next public meeting on the plan to take all eight of the Upper Pitt River's tributaries for private power production is at Pitt Meadows High from 6-9 PM March 25. Forward this POWERPLAY link widely. And join us in Pitt Meadows to speak up and save the Upper Pitt River! Even a larger venue this time around will be too small to hold the massive crowd expected for the event. Come be a part of history as we save our rivers!
