  • Split Second just SCREAMS out to be brought back. This is a classic show, a hard quiz, fast paced, and is a very good format. A little more money in the game, some nice cars, and this show should be a hit.

  • I remember crying when this show when off the air. I forgot how AWESOME it was!

  • I barely remember seeing "Split Second" when I was just a kid of eight or nine years old.

Hosted by Tom Kennedy & produced by Stefan Hatos & Monty Hall.

Both Kennedy & Hall are still with us.

  • @nyker615 They did bring it back in the 80's but in a different formular that kind of ruined the game. At the bonus round, instead of having 5 cars they had only one. It just wasn't the same. I wish they'd bring it back, but with the price of modern cars it might be difficult to get any car manufacture to put up 5 cars (and possibly lose 5 cars). They rather put on a lousy reality or judge show being cheaper.

  • great

  • Tune in next time to hear Ramar say: "Oh my goodness they've towed away my elephant again!!!"

  • @nyker615 I would LOVE it if someone brought "Split Second" back! But here's the next question ... who would be the host? In my opinion, Tom Kennedy was better than Monty Hall -- great enunciation and kept the pace going GREAT. The end of this game showed how exciting a "dull old game show" can truly be.

  • According to Wiki just 6 full episodes survive on the original master tapes. Such a shame. The series finale is one of them.

  • Kind of hard to explain, really.

  • Huh?

  • It was one of the first game shows I watched, and really enjoyed. It's a shame that VCRs weren't available to the masses sooner - the clip you are watching is probably one of only a few shows available due to networks "recycling" or destroying videotapes which means many of the 70s game shows are just a memory..

  • You might be thinking of Double Dare (the Alex Trebek show on CBS in the late 70s.) Schenkman appeared on that show and was a champion for a few days. He was/is a great contestant.
