@Invetation Agreed. When I learned of Saladin's actions back then, it made me think about current events with a different perspective. I think that the Muslim world and America could get along very well if we could just find common ground. I really don;t think that we are mortal enemies. Even though both sides of our political world would have you believe otherwise. Im tired of statements like we may see mushroom clouds in our skylines if we dont invade.

@44warjunkie Seriously I think if we back off they will slowly begin to fight amongst themselves again. The only people they hate more than the US and Israel are themselves. It's worth a try. Otherwise we are just dry humping the idea of population control, slow genocide or suicide. We are not fighting a winnable war unless we take part in war crimes that would make Hitler get butterflies in his stomach.

@Pantheraunicus When will the USA look in the mirror and realize that Islamic Jihadists are not the only extremists in the world and that we don't have the right to set foot on foreign soil for any reason unless we were attacked first. We should have never stationed troops in Mecca no matter WHAT Saddam was doing to Kuwait. At the time I thought we were being heroes. @Invetation Osama saw the troops stationed in mecca during desert storm as a grave insult and threat to Islam. Then we stayed. He vowed to fight against the future he saw coming for the region and his religion if the foreigners were aloud to stay unchecked. Do you think that just leaving Islamic holy grounds will be enough at this point to stop this hatred? Or does the hatred go so deep from so many destroyed homes and families that we can never regain trust and peace?

Extremists of any bent bother me; Islamic, Christian...any of them. I'm tired of people trying to force their beliefs on others...then looking down on you if you don't just accept it without question. I'm sorry, but what makes you believe that your guy that you can't prove exists or existed is better than mine? Seems to me the only world religion not practicing extremism is some sort is Buddhism.
