I hesitated and just stared blankey at the screen, it kept vibrating. How did he still have my number? I kept contemplating whether or not I should I answer it. I shakily pressed the accept button "Hello?" my voice cracked as I answered. I have not spoken to him since the day I left him, so why did he want to call me.

Flashback;
It was June 19th; I was waiting for him to come home from work. I had his dinner waiting in the oven ready to be warmed up, chicken Alfredo his favourite. I was just sitting on the couch watching re-runs Simpsons. My stomach was now huge; I placed my hand on my stomach as I felt her gently kick me. I smiled and rubbed my tummy lightly. I looked at the clock it was 8 I gently tapped my nails on the coffee table as I waited for him to come. 1 hour later and I feel asleep on the couch with the TV on. Sterling came home 2 hours later. I woke up as I heard the door slam shut. "Sterling, where have you been, I have been waiting for you" I said. He didn't respond and just went into the kitchen and started raiding through the fridge. I got up and followed him "what are you doing" I asked him, still no reply. "STERLING" I yelled, he turned around. He was really drunk, his eyes all blood-shot form the scotch. He responded by grabbing my wrist and flung me across the kitchen, my head hit the wall. I got up and walked over to him "What Is wrong with you" I yelled. He gave me a cold stare and slapped me right across the face, tears starting to burn in my eyes; they gradually started to build up until I had tears streaming down my face. I held my stomach as tears continue to trickle down my cheeks. He grabbed me and pushed me against the wall, I was under his full body weight, I screamed and yelled as I tried to push him off me, but my tiny, fragile body didn't have the strength to. 2 hours later and he left me lying on the floor, I was crying my eyes out, I was in so much pain. He just went upstairs and went to sleep. This was the man who I was deeply in love with, correct that, LOVED. My totally thought of Sterling changed in just 2 hours, I no longer wanted to be with him anymore. The very next morning I left him a note and left.

"Demi" he gave a sigh of relief "you ok?" he asked. What a stupid question to ask me. I rolled my eyes and began to walk "I'm fine yeah, wonderful actually" I said sarcastically. "Of course I'm not fine!" I yelled. "Why are you still calling me!?" My anger continued to build up. "Demi, relax" he told me. "How can I relax, I have a daughter to look after, Im so close to getting FIRED, and you expect me to be CALM" I started to breath heavily as I raised my voice. Joe was just around the corner and he suddenly stopped in his tracks when he heard me shouting. "I know you still love me" he said. I suddenly stopped in my tracks as I felt weak in my knees and my tiny boy started to tremble, "I don't love you" I hissed as my voice starting to crack. "Yes you do" he said. A few tears started to trickle down my cheek. Seconds later I was already in tears, "Sterling, please leave me alone" I hung up and threw the phone to the ground as I sat on the floor and cried. I brought my knees tight to my chest and wrapped my arms around my legs and buried my head into my knees and continued to cry. Why did he keep doing this to me, cant he just leave me alone. I dont love him anymore; I left him, end of.
Joe watched everything that happened, he walked over and picked up my phone and walked over to me and bent down to my level. "Demi, I'm sorry" I looked up as I scanned his body. His perfect upper torso, his strong rock hard biceps, his maple sugary eyes, his smooth black hair, his soft pink lips, he is the perfect guy, its like god created him. His angelic smile made my hear skip beats. I stood up and began to wipe my tears away. "It's ok" I noticed he was holding my iPhone, I went over to take my phone, our hands touched, I suddenly felt weak in my knees, my heart slowly started to gain momentum and a nervous chill crept down my back. I turned cherry red as I stiffly smiled "thank you Joe" I took the phone and continued to walk down the hallway. I glanced over my shoulder as he smiled at me; I giggled and walked in the other direction.
