  • @CthulhuChildren

BS. the song is about the poison flour incident that happened in early 1976 (i was living in JA when it happened). cocaine had not yet come to JA in any quantity, and people certainly were not dying/killed over it. ....yet.

*if* it's true at all, the flour was supposedly poisoned by some entity opposed to the government at the time (JLP? CIA?). there was a lot of politically inspired mayhem at the time, it was an election year. but it could also have been carelessness.

  • @tubatosor the track underneath is "A Quiet Place" by John Holt and Horace Andy, a big hit back then. Andy cut his vocal over Holt's original track. there's a man that live next door in my neighborhood and hear the pots and pans, they fall bang! against the wall bang! against the wall no rest at all.. it's not hard at all to hear what's being said if you pay attention. "is a wonder dem nuh say dread have something to do with the poison flour, eeh?" "yunno, all de while dem blame.."
