Flower DV to HD Super Resolution

Softwares Used: 1)Badaboom 2)vReveal 3)VideoEnhancer Camcorder: Panasonic SDR-H40PC Original video .MOV has been encoded to highest possible MP4 and de-interlaced using Badaboom (CUDA). Then using vReveal, the video has been sharpened by 70%, focued by 1.9 factor and later, the saturation has been increased by 15% and de-noised under low setting. The footage then has been processed uncompressed and exported to VideoEnhancer 1.9.3 and upconverted 1920x1280p using SuperResolution algorithm supplied by the software.

I would like to post something helpful. The footage looks pretty good coming from an SD interlaced source! I have been doing extensive testing on the superresolution technique and algorithm and there's actually a lot of validity to the technique - it can actually increase your resolution by 50%! The way it works is by using the noise data at the edges of your subject to create a finer edge. I think you could achieve a much better result if you used VideoEnhancer before denoising and sharpening.

@joshndproductions Thanks alot for the tip, it is good to see other people experimenting with video enhancer as well. I have a lot of interlaced SD videos and been looking for a method to upscale them. Currently, I am trying to find a good de interlacer.

@Anshdude98 up conversion doesn't make the detail better it just removes artifacts and make it look sharper
