I think people go up and down in this emotional cycle and I try to bring a lot of that into my paintings.
-Cody Hudson

Chicago-based artist and founder of design house Struggle Inc., Cody Hudson's subtle drawings and design work combine sharp wit with surprisingly candid emotion. In addition to exhibiting internationally in numerous museums and galleries, he has produced logos, album covers, and clothing for clients such as Nike, Stussy, The Cool Kids, and A-TRAK through Struggle Inc. Watch the interview from "The Run Up," available to the public for free for the first time, on Walrus TV.

  • Love this video.

It tells that you dont have to be good at art for example his drawing if you can paint go with that and just let the mind take you were ever,Use everything in your disposal boards bricks walls doors the canvas is unlimited but the creativity isn't. This artist is amazing and he speaks from his heart. He doesnt want fame or money but just to live life and have fun with what he does.

    Much respect to Cody Hudson.

  • 6:15 3rd of all your white... lol

  • Seems like a real down to earth legit dude. Im gonna check out more of his work just from the outlook he has. cool guy.

  • @gokudoman But, dont let his super cool personality and "easy-to-do" work make you want to be an artist. You have to be an artist for yourself and that person only. If you feel like drawing birds while your friends are all drawing sharks or cars or some shit and they dont understand, find new friends. Once you do what you do, thats when you become an "artist".

  • "The old man who doodles in the corner", wow out of everything he said thats the most colorful statement. I myself have the desire to be the man behind the curtain, I am no fan of the big life. I believe life is supposed to be respected, taken care of and watched over much like the "old man".

  • oh omnibot, beer is for humans <3

  • super inspiring; i wish this dude was my friend haha. and i normally hate on graphic design!

  • "Just Hopefully Enjoying life"

That's what its ALL about.. I'm sure he will
