Artists see almost none of the profits from record sales (especially the dead ones). If you really want to support an artist, go to their shows and buy their merch. This is coming from someone who grew up with independent musicians. Cheers.

he's gone; there's very little to support. i think elliott would rather people just heard his music now, he was NEVER in it for the money
