  • Thanks for the information, HyperMediums. cat

  • "I'm scared, but the thing is I like it. I want more."

    More cowbell!

  • @Galantski I really appreciate your feedback, and film school is going very well. I think I will take your advice and plan this as a first movie--it is designed as a story to be done with a very tight budget, and the characters live in me still. Thank you for taking the time to give me a framework of the legality/original film reception. My best.

  • @DavidProductions - Change the name only if you want to, because titles of films, plays, books, etc. aren't protected by copyrights. So I'd say if you like the name go with it. Since the original is nearly 30 years old and not well known (wasn't even that well known when it was released, grossing less than it cost to make it) your 'Brainstorm' will be the first that many people ever heard of, particularly those in the 18-35 demographic, who make up the majority of film-goers.

  • Great classic movie!

  • I wish I could get this movie on DVD or Blueray. I was only 11yrs old when this came out. I never really watched the whole thing.

  • I loved this movie, but I totally did not get the ending...

  • The brain-computer interface would use a noninvasive brain imaging technology like electroencephalography to let people communicate thoughts to each other. For example, a soldier would “think” a message to be transmitted and a computer-based speech recognition system would decode the EEG signals. The decoded thoughts, in essence translated brain waves, are transmitted using a system that points in the direction of the intended target.
