The Volunteers of America action team and players from the Philadelphia Phillies teamed up May 26th for a Healthy family fun fair aimed at encouraging the shelter residents to live healthier lifestyles.
The event took place at the VOA Eleanor Corbett house in Glassboro NJ and Citizens Bank Park in philly where they were publicly thanked for the contributions.
The goal of this program is to encourage high school students to get involved in their communities in service projects and other activities that help those in need.
About 14,000 high school students participate nationally in Volunteers of America Players trust action teams.
