I went to catholic charities a few weeks ago to help out with some classmates. Everyone was so nice, and really not afraid to get their hands dirty. I scrubbed chairs for hours! Their clothing closet is amazing. It's great that people can get those things for free.

Wow, how did I miss this video???? Totally agree that Catholic Charities is an amazing organization! I would love to be able to volunteer with them one day, but alas, it will probably be after my schooling is done...

I'm going to be honest: I did judge the charity based on the name. I thought that because of my bad experience with my very Catholic and conservative (i.e. racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic) family that this charity would be along the same lines. But, my mind is changed, and I thank you for that. DFTBA.

(right now, because I'm overwhelmed with love for you) :D it sucks that anyone would disregard his charity just because of the name! that's SO silly, because what better people to make up this charity then people from a universal church? :) (*thumbs up*)

Steve, this is an awesome charity that clearly helps others out of love and, although many would hate it just for it's name, you gave it the right publicity that it needs and revealed what it's actually about. So thanks for sharing it with us! <3
