@Unbuiltmushroom Use MSI Afterburner BETA, record in MJPG 90% quality, 4 compression threads. Then use Sony Vegas or another video editing program to edit it, and finally encode it to x264.
With MSI afterburner there is minimal performance hit, give it a try.

bout time you got it to work. Guess boog didnt screw up his recording this time
-
@Shouneify Ahhh well im using dxtory now and everything works fine..
-
@Unbuiltmushroom You need to have BF3 installed to a different disk than where you're recording the footage, otherwise your hard drive takes a shit every time FRAPS writes a file segment.

This soundtrack should've been used vs DKS. Nice vid!

@VitalSyntax lol nvm i got it all figured out ^^

@VitalSyntax I have one question about the dxtory.
Where do i change the settings for halfsize/fullsize?
-
@VitalSyntax Hmmm so you kinda pirated the dxtory? :P
-
@VitalSyntax Sweet, are the size of the videos any smaller on Dxtory? Cuz i'll record around 4-10 minutes of footage and that eventually takes up like 12-20gbs?
Vital you should really tell me what recording program you use. I always bump your video links in my clans forums!!
I'm using fraps and when i play it back its extremely choppy, no matter what fps i shoot at. I'm running on at gtx 580, 8gb ram, i5 2500k processor.

@Unbuiltmushroom With those specs you should have no problem running the game smooth, but recording depends more on the harddrive. I'm using Dxtory for recording software, make sure you have a fast hard drive with lots of space, preferably a second from your boot hard drve.

@VitalSyntax Well i have my OS on my 30gb SSD and then i have a 1tb hdd... I think its a seagate or kingston can't remember? What kind of compression program do you use?
Sorry i'm just using fraps and i have to record in halfsize which really kills the resolution.

@Unbuiltmushroom That should be plenty of space, but more importantly it needs to be fast. I strongly suggest downloading Dxtory (version 109 and a google search for dxtorylicencefile on google should do the trick) it can test your HDD write speed, in general if it is a 7200rpm HDD it should be fine. Dxtory is 100x better than fraps, it allows for custom frame size (instead of just full and half) along with tons and tons of other features, and best of all it only takes a 1-5fps hit.

Its to hard to catch all the pwnage at once. I like the idea, just to many screens. Try 2 instead :P

@zachyboy13528 That means you should watch it multiple times, each time it is a different experience.
