The Hurricanes Band - with special guest artist - "Dangerous" Dan Toler on guitar - playing the classic Dickey Betts instrumental 'Jessica' at the Five O'Clock Club in Sarasota, Florida back in 2006. I diced up the tape a bit to get it under the YouTube mandated 10:00 minute maximum. If you notice a glitch or two, that is the reason. The Hurricanes had the pleasure of having "Dangerous" Dan Toler sit in with the band for this evenings performance. Dangerous Dan is a past member of the Allman Brothers Band, The Greg Allman Band, and Dickey Betts & Great Southern. The bass player in the video is Greg Voorhees who was also in the Greg Allman Band along with Dangerous Dan in the 'I'm No Angel' era. Since the recording of this video, "Dangerous" Dan Toler has been diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. Please visit the website constructed for "Dangerous" Dan Toler to help educate others about this crippling disease and also as a forum for Dan's Friends, Family and Fans to help out if they can, as this is going to place a tremendous financial burden upon Dan Toler and his Family. The website is http://frayerproductions.com/helpdantoler/ - Thank-You!
The Hurricanes Band is:
Matthew Greenwood - Guitar & Vocal
Mike Hensley - Keyboards
Gyll Perkins - Vocals & Percussion
Matthew Peterson - Drums
Dan Toler - Guitar
Greg Voorhees - bass guitar
Wow, really sweet...u sound great. Really hard to get Dickeys soul on his playing. A lot of guys can hit the notes but that's just not the same. You got his magic captured too.
