Hey, I think you should've addressed how important the axle nut torque is on Subarus. Being as they are tapered bearings, the bearing can be instantly destroyed with too little or too much torque on the axle nut.

@spelunkerd Thanks- your videos inspire me to work a little harder at that sort of thing.

@briansmobile1 Engineers often get flak from mechanics, but here's an example where they were thinking ahead. By having the soft metal on an easily replaceable part, they made the repair dramatically easier. By the way, I really like the technical parts of this video -- great lighting and excellent viewing angles.

Thanks again brian! I have to remove the driver's side axle to get at a very stubborn transmission bolt. I have a super sweet '93 SS with a bad HG so I am plucking the engine (EJ22T) :). This helps me out a lot. Your method is a bit simpler than others I have seen since you illustrate that one does not need to remove the rotor and caliper.

@goldtinium It's either the sway bar end link or the right CV axle. Lift the front of the car and check it out.

Thanks for the video, it helped a great deal. I did mine yesterday, took about an hour and a half in total counting setup and clean up. Piece of cake knowing ahead of time what I needed to do.
