TEDxNoviSad - Luiz Mello - Why every school should host a TEDx event

Luiz Mello je nastavnik biologije, trenutno zaposlen u International School of Belgrade, a prethodno je bio angažovan u American School of Rio de Janeiro, u rodnom Brazilu. Od meseca januara 2011. Luiz je uključen u globalni TEDx program, za koji veruje da je moćan pokretač promena u društvima. Pored toga što vodi organizacioni tim konferencije TEDxYouth@ISB, prve TEDx konferencije u Srbiji usmerene na mlade, vodi i blog TED4Schools na kom piše o integraciji predavanja i govora sa TED.com u školski program. U svom govoru na TEDxNoviSad istražiće aspekte TEDx programa koji mogu doprineti istinskom inter-disciplinarnom iskustvu kako nastavnika, tako i učenika i inspirisati zajednice u kojima se nalaze.

Luiz Mello is a Biology teacher currently at the International School of Belgrade and with previous experience at the American School of Rio de Janeiro, in his native Brazil. Since January 2011, Luiz has been involved with the global TEDx program and he believes it to be a powerful agent of change in societies. Along with leading the team for TEDxYouth@ISB, Serbia's first youth-oriented TEDx event, Luiz also blogs at TED4Schools about the integration of the talks available on TED.com into school curricula. In his talk at TEDxNoviSad, he will explore the aspects of the TEDx program which can help deliver a true trans-disciplinary experience to teachers and students and inspire the communities they're in.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
