Scoreless quarter as Penn State turns it over twice, Miami once, and the Canes badly miss a chip shot 28 yard field goal. That missed field goal is largely forgotten but keep in mind Miami trailed 14-10 on the final drive in the 4th quarter.
A very questionable pass interference penalty set up Miami on the drive that ended with the missed field goal. It appears Michael Irvin tripped himself.
Bob Griese narrated a good slow motion look at a Penn State defensive scheme that confused Testaverde and apparently caused an interception.
Note: there was a problem with my tape and the first Miami possession of the 3rd quarter is missing. Based on how little time elapsed I believe it was a three and out. After Jimmy Johnson's generic first half summary, this video leads off with a replay of Miami's punt to end that possession, with a 5 yard roughing penalty but not enough for a first down. It was 4th and 8.
@psufan001 -right. It was mostly PSU kicking's gm and the turnovers they forced. Too bad we havent won a championship since
