  • and i know the fact that Kent has a macbook means nothing to their success at the time. but from someone who has used loops running from a mac before i know they take a TON of practice to time right. and a lot of money to run RIGHT (such as with in-ear monitors and metronomes). i just doubt they would have had all of this stuff down before EVER playing a show together.

  • Prior to Nov. 06 all the guys (minus Caleb and Austin) were in a very successful local band called The Flipside. They had many larger shows than this first FTSK show. FTSK was born in either Nov or Dec of 06, demos were released online before the new year. They played together all that time before the first show in MARCH 07. The reason I mentioned the band not being signed is because who do you know that has a deal with shine drums and isnt signed?

  • (continued)

Google search the drums. I don't think I can post urls. On the log drums, notice the neon green outline and how the bass drum is designed. Pause the video if you need to, the drums in the video bare no resemblance.

The videos were uploaded March 12, 2007... 3 days after the show. So I didn't record a random show (from on stage no less) and hoped to fool everyone.

  • this is not their first show.

    think about it:

Kyle is sponsored by Shine drums. in this video he's already on his 2nd or 3rd drumset they gave him. it's the one that looks like it's made out of unfinished logs.

Marc is using an Orange head on his amp.

  • This show was before the band had even been signed. Those are not the wood log drums Kyle is using. Yes, Kent is using his macbook... everyone in a random starbucks has one so I don't see how that proves anything. If you spent the same amount of time coming up with conspiracy theories then you could of read the comments where I explained the member's past band success and how the crowd knew the songs from demos that had been released way prior to the show.

  • If it was their first show, how the fuck did kids know the lyrics?

  • the band had already released demos of the songs via myspace around January

  • i'm not saying they were signed when this show took place. i'm just saying it wasn't their first show ever. it just can't be. and i'm pretty sure those are Kyle's log drums. i could be wrong, you obviously seem to know a lot about the band. but look at them, they are shine drums and they look a lot like the log ones. and it didnt take that long to come up with those things. they're just things i noticed.

  • Kent has what looks like a macbook pro with loops, beats, and other fun shinanigans.

    Their stage presence is seasoned.

Pretty much everyone in the crowd is singing to their songs.

I doubt ftsk had this much success before EVER playing a show together.

GO FTSK!!! Kansas City loves you!!

  • Ahhhh(: The good ol' days(;

  • Nice!! :D Lucky.

  • Freaking amazing<333. It was sooooo good. They came out after it was over and were hangin out.:)
