I talk about Andreas so much, that I thought you might like to hear a little about someone else I was once with. First relationships can be tricky, especially if you rush in like I did. Frankly, I think I was in love with the idea of being in love, but that might not have been a bad thing, since the experience was useful to me.

  • I want to say thank u for ur videos! They come at a time when I need it most. My husband of 11 years and I are going through a separation ( in Cali it's not legal) .. However it's really been tough losing my soulmate and ur words have inspired me! Thanks again!

  • @Dortiz8925 Glad I could help. Best of luck with all the changes you are going through!

  • you seem to me like an aquarian.... are you?

  • @transpirit20 Depend on which side of the pond you live on. I'm February 19th, which some define as Pisces and others Aquarius. I guess I can wake up and choose what I want to be.

  • @JayBellBooks wow! I was partly right! my deceptive skills are improving :D

  • I grew up and went to school with my First BF, the first time we got intimate (just kisses and what not) was when we were 12. He and I dated secretly on and off for many years afterward but he was ashamed of being gay where I was out and proud by the time I was 13...which was hard on both of us.. finally he decided he wanted to have kids and settled on finding a woman, but he did say that once she had kids he would come back for me >.< needless to say I declined his offer..eventually *sigh* lol

  • @JayBellBooks Relax, i don't expect a reply back a couple of minutes after i post the comment! It has? I'm sorry to hear, hope everything settles down for you! We're in Australia! It's kind of hard to explain, but cliff notes version, we get to study 4 books a year, 2 of them approved by the Education Department and the other 2 are just for fun, Something Like Summer is the just for fun one :) That's awesome! Thanks for the advice! I'll give full credit when i submit the chapter! :) Thanks again

  • @Jesse782010 Aaand, now I'm going for worst response time. It's been a crazy week! :( There's a class studying Something Like Summer? At what school? That's great! As for the opening chapter, I think it's always good to establish who the main character is, like where they are at in life, and to have them encounter the love interest. This can be from afar, like in Something Like Summer, or be more direct contact, but don't let them get too involved. The build up is the best part of romance!

  • @JayBellBooks it's fine! sorry for posting it twice, my curiosity gets out of control sometimes! i see. okay, just wanted to know. i find it really interesting because we're studying 'Something Like Summer' in my Literature class, and my teacher thinks you put a little something from your own life in all your books and he said that Tim and Ben or Ben and Jace might be based on one of your relationships! :) now he wants us to write an opening chapter to a gay romance novel! any advice?

  • @Jesse782010 Oh, I forgot to answer this question when you posted it on my profile. Sorry! I wouldn't say there’s much of Ben and Tim in my relationship with Daniel. He was completely out and proud, as was I. Daniel struggled instead with being feminine and being generally unhappy in life. I’m not sure I could ever write a character like Daniel, because looking back, I still don’t get him. There was definitely a thing or two he wasn't telling me.
