Dr (Mrs) Mohini Giri, Chairperson, Guild of Service, New Delhi, delivered the 9th Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Lecture on 'Rajiv Gandhi and Panchayati Raj: Role of Women in Decision-making of Local Governance in India', and received the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Outstanding Leadership Award for the Year 2010, held at India International Centre Annexe Auditorium, New Delhi on 8th March, 2011, under the aegis of Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI), Tirupati.
Shri Murlidhar C. Bhandare, His Excellency, the Governor of Orissa and Shri Salman Khurshid, Hon'ble Union Minister for Water Resources and Minority Affairs, participated in the programme, as Chief Guest and Special Guest. Dr. Subhash C. Kashyap, Former Secretary-General of Lok Sabha, presided over the function. Dr. D. Sundar Ram, Founder Director of AGRASRI, co-ordinates the programme.
