@choosenone2die It sounds like he said "...and Montreal was fucking strong..." but I'm not sure :S

@Nintariz No mate, Roger made Barrett FAMOUS.But from an artistic, and hell even existing point of view, Syd made all of the Floyd.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT ROGER SAYS AFTER THE WORD " MONTREAL " PLEASE.
I remembered in that ANIMALS show in Montreal Quebec Canada that no one was really listening except for me. Best song Sheep with all the floating sheep all around the stadium. Too bad no one took video at that time.

i love him and pink floyd but gotta admit that he was a really ugly motherfucker

What the hell!!! I came here to listen to an interview not have a debate about who did what and when! I believe every member of PF was important. David Gilmour and Roger Waters were fucking geniuses and have created some of the best albums of all TIME but Syd was so...brilliant and also a genius in a different way. I am am a Pink Floyd fan therefore I LOVE PINK FLOYD and Pink Floyd was everyone together making amazing music

What a goofy-looking thumbnail of Roger for this video. No offense meant to Roger. I love him to death. Just commenting on the thumbnail that was selected for this. Cool old video though. Thanks for sharing.

@Nintariz you also for got that roger waters WAS the final cut. that entire album was him it was the closest thing to a roger waters solo album that was still titled as "pink floyd"

@Nintariz I tend not to use wikipedia as a source of information as it can be inaccurate. Just watch the Syd Barrett story on youtube. Maybe Pink Floyd like the whole ambiguity of the subject as it tends to create interest and curiosity.

@Nintariz some others say as here that it was all of waters reference but no it wasnt thats just an very bad coment done by fans of both PF and waters during the "floydean wars" and thats why waters remained with the rights profits and loyalties from the Wall CD and movie.
-
@Nintariz matter of fact is not just inspired in waters or barret it was inspired by all the members in the band High clue the divorce that guilmour was having that time, well its 50% Barret & Waters 50% Mason, Guilmour & Wright inspiration on the wall as a CD, the movie is just a kind of vision by waters that went beyond his control and ended up hating it (the movie) by the performance of bob geldof and the not so centred history he wanted to tell...very...anti-political may i say
@bigcountry1903
And without Waters, there's no Dark Side, No Wish You Were Here and no Wall....which means they never achieve the kinds of fame which was needed for people to even know who Barrett was.
So, in a way...Rogers made Barrett...not the other way around.
