Building the Lost in Space Robot B9

This is part of a log, showing my efforts to building an animatronic replica of the Lost in Space Robot called B9, from the 60's TV series. This is a work in progress and only about 1/2 done. I am special effects make up artist for film by trade and was self taught to apply animatronics to puppets back when there was such a thing. If you watch to the end there is bonus footage (again work in progress) of a proposed all CG version of the Lost in Space TV series. This is all just very prelim stuff, designs and some tests/ rigs, but there for you look over. Built and rendered in Lightwave, and used Zbrush for modeling. Recommend you watch in full HD.

Will your B9's tracks be functional, to allow forward/back, right/left movement? Nice work btw.

@tripleJ1955 Yes, although not true function, in that the treads will not carry the weight of the robot (300+ pounds). It will be an illusion carried out by motorized wheel chair motors, some wheels and gears.
